The Statistics Department at Texas A&M University is the third largest in the U.S. It has a history and tradition of graduate education in statistics that dates back to 1963. It has many internationally recognized faculty, including Assistant Professor Alan Dabney who in 2008 had a vision. Dr. Dabney wanted to find a way to make statistics education fun and easier to understand.
Simply filming an instructor in front of white board giving a lecture was not what he had in mind. He wanted to create a dynamic web based application that included high quality video lessons, interactive games, a quiz and other tips, tools and techniques that both high school and college students would find helpful.
