The Statistics Department at Texas A&M University is the third largest in the U.S. It has a history and tradition of graduate education in statistics that dates back to 1963. It has many internationally recognized faculty, including Assistant Professor Alan Dabney who in 2008 had a vision. Dr. Dabney wanted to find a way to make statistics education fun and easier to understand.

Dr. Dabney contacted epic and we conducted a brainstorming session to determine the best way to achieve his dream. The concept was to create a new web site - Stat-Central, that would provide this innovative content to anyone wanting to lean about statistics. The site would include an introductory lesson shot in a green screen studio. Special effects, animations and dynamic music resulted in a statistics lesson you have to experience to understand. The Statistics Department at A&M decided to fund a pilot episode of Stat-Crunchers! |

Statistics education will never be the same. The blending of storytelling along with the basics of statistic takes some of the "fear" that new students may have for the subject. The pilot episode was so successful, it attracted the attention of a major NYC textbook publishing company. epic was awarded a major contract with this publisher to produce 36 individual episodes for a Stats-101 course. |
